Creativity and Your Connection To The Divine

Unlocking Your Inner GODD/ESS

There is no such thing as a person who isn’t creative. We come from creation itself. Formed by the same intelligence that paints the skies, weaves the waters, and composes the songs of the wind. How could we not carry the essence of what we originate from?

Yet, in a world that prioritizes productivity and the constant churn of doing, creativity is often dismissed as a luxury or a pastime—something frivolous, reserved for the “artists.” But the truth is: the world is made of creation. Your very heartbeat is a rhythm. Your emotions, your ideas, your dreams—all creative energies moving through you like sacred currents.

So, where exactly does creativity meet the divine? How does the act of creating a poem, a meal, or a moment of silence become a portal to something higher?. Allow me to elaborate…

Inspiration is not random. It’s not just a spark that flickers out of nowhere. It is a whisper.. a soft, sacred message from the Divine Source flowing through you. When you feel inspired, you’re not just having a good idea. You’re being spoken to.

Think about the word itself: in-spiration. To be in spirit.

That sudden idea, that vision that visits you in the quiet of the night, the urge to write, to dance, to build, to speak—it is Spirit moving through your vessel, asking to be seen, heard, expressed. It is a moment of alignment where the veil thins and you remember: you are both the channel and the creator.

I remember hearing that Michael Jackson, upon inspiration would instantly act on it because he believed that if he didn’t God would give it to Prince instead. Now as funny as it sounds, I truly believe that if an idea is not expressed, it will go elsewhere until it is brought into fruition. Energy can never be destroyed- only recycled, so it will find a way to be manifested. With or without you.

This is why honoring your inspiration is a holy act. When you follow the inclinations, when you create without judgment, you’re not just “being creative”—you’re in conversation with God. You’re responding to Source.

And the more you respond, the clearer the channel becomes. You begin to trust those whispers. You begin to walk with a deeper sense of purpose, knowing that the muse is not separate from you—it is you. The Divine doesn’t just speak in sermons or sacred texts. It speaks through your hands, your voice, your brush strokes, your camera lens, your curiosity.

So the next time something ignites you, don’t dismiss it. Sit with it. Make space for it. Let it move through you. That’s not just inspiration—that’s a message. That’s a divine invitation.

If inspiration is divine communication, then resistance is the ego’s defense against divine truth. This is true sin.

Every time you feel the pull to create—and then feel the weight of doubt, fear, perfectionism, or avoidance—you’re witnessing an internal conflict between your higher self and your conditioned self. The voice that says “I’m not good enough,” “What if no one cares?”, or “I don’t know how” is not the voice of the Divine. It’s the voice of survival, of protection, of old programming trying to keep you small and safe.

But here’s the secret: resistance is part of the initiation.

To move through resistance is to return to trust—to choose faith over fear. It is a spiritual act. Each time you sit down to write, paint, sing, or build despite the voice of resistance, you are declaring: I trust the Divine more than I trust my fear.

You don’t need to be perfect to begin. You don’t need to have it all figured out to show up. The act of showing up is the devotion. Not in the outcome, but in your willingness to keep coming back to your creative altar.

Some days, resistance will feel like a storm. Other days, it will wear a soft disguise—scrolling, self-doubt, overthinking, busyness. But the way forward is always the same: discipline. Let your practice be your prayer. Even five minutes of honest expression can part the clouds.

Creativity is not about proving—it’s about being. And when you choose presence over perfection, you become a clearer channel for divine energy to move through you.

So when resistance comes knocking, don’t run from it. Sit with it. See it. Thank it for trying to protect you. And then lovingly return to your canvas, your page, your voice. That’s the real work. That’s the sacred rebellion.

This week, I invite you to reconnect with your creativity—not as a task, but as a devotion.

Light a candle. Play a song that resonates with your spirit. Sit with your journal, your sketchbook, your voice memos, your hands. Don’t worry about it being good. Let it be raw.

Ask yourself: What is the Divine trying to express through me today?

And then listen. Trust the whispers.

You are the channel. You are the canvas. You are the creation.

Now go create—like God is watching through your eyes. Because, in truth, She is.
